Um, in case you hadn't noticed, it's cold--really cold--out. Thought you'd want to know.
And what to do while drinking coffee and getting up the courage to put on one's big-girl shoes and socks (the extra-warm woolly ones) and go to work, but waste a little time online. It's what the Innerwebs are for.
A few things of note this morning. This kind of weather can make folks gloomy. You get to feeling bad about yourself and things you have done and left undone, to quote the confessions. In theory, it should be enough to remind oneself that one is a child of God to get over that self-indulgence, but sometimes more of a kick-start is needed. And speaking of being a child of God, Fred Anderson over at The Rev's Rumbles (Caution! Liberal political bias alert!) quotes John Shuck on baptism:
Well now. There's something to think about over your oatmeal.
On a lighter note, for high-grade time wasting, there's this YouTube video
And finally, if you think the Current Occupant of the Illinois governor's chair exemplifies a New Low in political shenanigans, think again. Been here, done this before.
That's all folks. Time to warm up the car. Have a good, warm day.
